Dana E. Prescott
Dana Prescott holds a BA in Psychology (1980), JD (1983) and an MSW from the Boston College School of Social Work. In 1983, Dana was licensed to practice law in Maine and Massachusetts and in 2005 he became a licensed LMSW in Maine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has maintained a private practice for more than 20 years representing parents and children. Dana has served as President of the New England Bar Association and the Maine State Bar Association, and is a former chair of the MSBA’s Family Law Section.

Neil D. Jamieson, Jr.
Neil Jamieson received his B.A. in History from Bates College in 1982 and his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1986. Neil is licensed to practice in all Maine state and federal courts.
Attorney Jamieson has served as Chair of the MSBA Young Lawyers Section, Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chair of the MSBA Family Law Section and has previously served on the MSBA Board of Governors. Neil is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has lectured on a variety of family law topics. Neil has served on the board of the Kids First Center since 1998, has been vice-president since 2003, and was recently elected president. Neil is also involved in a number of civic activities in his community.
Alan S. Nelson
Alan Nelson was born in Lewiston, Maine and grew up in Kennebunk. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Maine at Orono, and he earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut. He was admitted to practice law in both Connecticut and Maine in 1969.
After completing his military service as an Officer in the U.S. Army, Alan returned to Maine to practice law. He has been an active member of the American Cancer Society since 1970, serving as the first President of the York County Unit, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Maine Division, and Delegate to the National Assembly of the ACS. Alan presently serves as a Director on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society, New England Division.
He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Southern Maine Medical Center and continues as a longtime member of the Biddeford-Saco Rotary Club and St. Martha’s Parish in Kennebunk, where served as president of the Parish Council. Alan and his wife, Sandy, live in Kennebunk where they raised their four daughters.
Timothy S. Murphy
Tim Murphy graduated with special honors in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 1982. Following three years spent working for U.S. Senator William Cohen and then U.S. Representative (and now U.S. Senator) Olympia Snowe, Tim enrolled in the University of Notre Dame Law School, graduating with a JD in 1988.
Tim began his legal practice at Pierce, Atwood, Scribner, Allen, Smith and Lancaster of Portland, Maine before forming his own law firm in 1990. He subsequently joined partners, Dana Prescott, Neil Jamieson and Alan Nelson in 2000.
Tim is the Acting City Attorney for the city of Saco, Maine, a position he has held since 1994. He has also represented the city of Biddeford and the town of Old Orchard Beach in conflict matters. Tim is a member of the Maine Bar, and is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for Maine, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Erin O’Reilly Jakan
Erin O’Reilly Jakan graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in 2002 with a B.A. in Psychology and Justice Studies. In her time at UNH she was an active member of both Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Gamma Mu honor societies.
Upon graduation Erin moved to Boston where she pursued a career as a Program Director for Bridgewell, Inc. In this role Erin managed homes for individuals diagnosed with mental retardation and other psychological, medical, and/or physical disorders. During this time she also served as a coach for Special Olympics and served on the Human Rights Committee.
Erin relocated to Maine to attend the University of Maine School of Law, graduating in 2008. During her three years in law school, Erin made a name for herself in the field of family law; submitting a brief to the Law Court and working as a District Court Clerk. Erin was named the recipient of the 2007-2008 Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic Student of the Year Award.
Erin is licensed to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts and now resides in York County with her husband Joshua and their dog Hunter.
